i can operate in extremes. my social captions for the longest time have read (& still read) - “you can find me on both ends of electromagnetic spectrum” - “electromagnetic” might be an overkill here, but spare me some slack as I came up w it almost a decade back

operating that way has been a double edged sword. intense focused sprints are rewarding, & so are peak chill zones, but it can be terribly hard to context switch between the two zones. i have made some progress in reducing the frequency (also inertia) with which i alternate between the two poles, but I still have a long long way to go

one thing i have gotten a lot better at is embracing either of the co-ordinates whole heartedly. i am learning to be fully present in whatever zone i find myself in & not go on many fomo-driven guilt trips. immersing myself fully while battling my fomo-ridden thoughts surely creates for a rewarding in-the-moment experience

having the agency & ability to prioritise zones also comes w a lot of opting-in & overriding a lot of conventional wisdom. the eventual goal is for such agency to become almost second nature

a better way to do life is to exercise some control over it, while also letting IT happen. some room for spontaneity here and there can weave magic into this otherwise measured life which we tend to so meticulously plan

context switching among zones + prioritising the right zones + creating room for spontaneity is all my new year’s wish for anyone reading this
